APC NetShelter Rack Automatic Transfer Switch AP4421A
The APC NetShelter Rack ATS AP4421A provides redundant power for servers, network equipment and other devices equipped with a single power supply. By connecting the equipment to two independent power sources, the ATS automatically transfers the load to the alternative source when a failure is detected, helping to keep the infrastructure running without manual intervention.
Power continuity without relying on a single source
A power failure does not have to mean an immediate interruption of the systems connected to the rack. The AP4421A continuously monitors both inputs and selects the available source, completing the transfer in approximately 10 milliseconds.
Greater control, lower risk of downtime
The two IEC C14 inputs allow the ATS to be connected to separate circuits, UPS systems or power sources, reducing reliance on a single point of power.
When the active source no longer meets the defined parameters, the unit quickly transfers the load to the second available input.
It distributes up to 2000 VA through twelve C13 outlets, providing redundant power to multiple devices from a single rack unit.
The network management card enables monitoring of input, output and load status, while allowing up to 32 Rack ATS units to be managed through a single IP address.
The network management card can be replaced on site, reducing the impact of technical interventions and simplifying infrastructure maintenance.
It supports compatible temperature and humidity sensors, enabling environmental conditions inside or near the rack to be monitored.

Simple integration into professional racks
The horizontal 1U format allows the AP4421A to be installed at the front of the rack without occupying unnecessary space.
